WELCOME to ScottRossMemorial.com
This site is in remembrance of my one and only little brother, Scotty Ross. He was born on October 25, 1974 in Conoga Park,CA. He died on May 8, 2005 in Eureka, CA while surfing off Somoa Dunes. Scott had a rare cardiac disease called Wolf-Parkinsons-White Syndrome, which caused him to go unconscious in the water and drowned.

He is survived by his parents, loving wife, two children and sister. He was a boy scout, a water polo player, and enjoyed flying remote control airplanes with our dad. Scotty grew up in San Diego, CA, where he graduated from Valhalla High School in 1992. Scott attended college at Humbolt State University (HSU) with a major in Liberal Studies and a minor in Oceanography. He married his wife Jenny in May of 2001 in a beautiful ceremony under the redwoods. Scott became a father on November 3, 2001 to his daughter Taria, he loved spending time playing with her and was teaching her how to fish. His son, Nyah was born on January 19, 2005.

Scott was an avid hunter, fisherman, motorcycle enthusiast, and surfer; he was an adrenaline junky. He loved to be outside from hiking in the woods to exploring remote beaches. Scott never passed a piece of trash or cigarette butt without putting it in his pocket to throw in the trash, "you should pack out what you pack in". Scott truly appreciated nature and the environment.

Scott had just passed his general contractor's test and planned to start his own business in McKinnleyville,CA. He could fix and build anything, and he did. He enjoyed building and working with his hands. He helped many friends to build and finish their homes.

Scott worked hard and played even harder. Scott was an amazing friend and truly caring person.

I love him and miss him.
